The SOL-IT Cubes are so versatile, adaptable, expandable – simply dynamic. And we know that. That’s why our team is constantly developing and optimising the Cubes. Each release hides new surprises that we naturally don’t want to keep from you.
With the new release 2024.01. we present this time mainly the topic of proformance, but we have also worked out extensions.

dxGrid: New views and lists with a wide range of functions
The various views and lists have undergone a comprehensive modernisation and have been replaced by the innovative dxGrid component. This component is not only optimally prepared for future developments, but also offers a wide range of functions that were previously lacking, especially for experienced users. One outstanding feature is the ability to set a multiple value filter directly via the column header (similar to Excel). This is a significant improvement on the previous restriction to single values. The filter function also extends to the selection of specific values or value ranges. For example, all values below 1 can be hidden in a numerical list. It is also possible to combine different filter options to achieve even more precise results.
Note: Not all lists have yet been converted to the new format. This will take place in the next releases or in the form of hotfixes.
mobileCubes app: Quickly upload images and documents to a project and folder
Images and documents can be uploaded quickly and directly to a project in a folder thanks to a functional enhancement of the mobileCubes app. An ‘Upload’ button has been added to the main menu (right below the settings icon). After clicking on it, please select the project and then the relevant folder or subfolder (several folders can also be selected). Now simply create the images or select existing images, documents, videos and click on the Send button at the top right. The documents will be sent quickly, easily and securely to the desired project and folder.
Inbox view: Display of reading information with employee abbreviation in the list view
To make it easier to process emails, the additional ‘Read by’ column can be selected, positioned and saved with the view in the views with email messages (e.g. Inbox, assigned email messages, etc.). This column displays the abbreviations of those employees who have already read the e-mail in question. If no abbreviation is saved for the employee address in question, this is displayed as empty.
Note: It is recommended to save the ‘Read by’ column in the standard views for the inbox and thus make it available to all users.
PDF document: Insert stamp with signature as image
The general editing of PDF documents has been expanded and the option of entering a PIN code to add a signature stored by the user has been added. This is done via the preview of the PDF document.
Note: To use the signature, a document / image with the signature is required first (image should not be too large). It is recommended to mark the image as ‘private’ for the user concerned so that it cannot be viewed by other users. The signature is activated as the user in question via the menu Extras / Options / dmsCube / tab ‘Further settings’ / select ‘Signature stamp’ in the ‘Stamp’ field / select the image with the signature under ‘Background image’ and enter a multi-digit PIN code in the PIN field. It is not necessary to specify the position as this is determined by the mouse click.

CuFiS project data storage: Own storage location for selected ongoing projects
In order to meet the high security standards regarding data storage for individual selected projects, an option was created to automatically store the data (documents, e-mails, plans, images, etc.) in a separate archive location (repository) during ongoing project work. When an object is assigned to such a specially labelled project, the associated documents and e-mails are relocated there during ongoing operation. In the case of documents, the existing underlying document versions are also moved to the ‘project repository’. In the case of emails, these and the attachments are also moved. This all happens automatically in the background as soon as an assignment is made.
Image gallery in the project for browsing in the folder
The Images entry including the number is displayed in the navigation of the assigned objects. All assigned files are automatically displayed here in image format. Using a large preview image and a preview bar (so-called image slider), you can browse through the images of the project or the individual folders. Below the images, you can also see the most important details such as the date taken, author and image size at a glance. Even the GPS data is displayed, if available for the image, and the exact position of the image can be displayed on Google Maps.
